Books at a Steal is a nonprofit used bookstore supporting family literacy in Lee County, and we’d love for you to be part of our volunteer community. We welcome adults and high school students who enjoy books, people, and making a positive local impact.
Volunteering with us is a great way to gain retail and customer service experience, meet friendly, like-minded people, and support a mission that truly matters. Our store is known for incredible book prices, wonderful regular customers, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
We offer flexible scheduling to fit your life. Volunteer as little as one shift a month or as often as once a week—whatever works for you.
Volunteer shifts available:
Monday through Friday: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm or 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

Saturday: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
