Who We Are
With the help of volunteers from five local churches and others from the community, we deliver hot meals Monday thru Friday throughout the year to our homebound clients. Meals are prepared by Central Carolina Hospital according to dietary requirements, and delivered to homes in time for the lunch meal.
What We Do
Meals on Wheels (MOW) is a church-based, non-profit organization serving residents in the city limits of Sanford. We seek to serve those who, for whatever reason, are unable to leave their homes to obtain food supplies and are unable to safely prepare meals. Clients are expected to pay for the cost of the meal; if (based on the in-home interview) they are unable to pay all or part of the cost, special arrangements can be made to subsidize the difference. Our primary mission is to serve all those who meet the "homebound" requirements.
