

Who We Are
The Lee County Library system operates two libraries, with the main collection at the Suzanne Reeves Library, located in downtown Sanford at 107 Hawkins Avenue, near its intersection with Carthage Street. A branch library is located at 206 South Main Street in Broadway, N.C.
What We Do
The Lee County Library System serves the communities of Lee County, North Carolina. The mission of the Lee County Library is to encourage exploration of new ideas, support educational core curriculum initiatives and early childhood literacy; enhance the economic vitality of the region through workforce development, strengthen the community and enrich the quality of life for all by providing cultural, technological, and informational programming and materials.
We provide materials for check out as well as in-house use. The library is part of NC Cardinal which gives our patrons access to a wealth of online research resources and expands our collection reach to over 160 North Carolina libraries within the collective. The library offers various programming and workshop throughout the year for all ages including outreach at local community organizations, preschools and child care centers.
